Oslo City Hall

 

Please arrive no later than 12:45.

 

Arrive well in advance, and remember that you must go through security checks when entering Oslo City Hall. The wedding room (Munchrommet) at Oslo City Hall has limited capacity. This means that parts of the bridal party will have to wait outside the city hall. After the ceremony, there will be a photo shoot outside the city hall.

 

Anyone who has the opportunity is most welcome to welcome the bride and groom when they come out after the ceremony (approximately 13:15). Please spread the word!

 

Balloons, soap bubbles, alcohol, or throwing rice, rose petals, or confetti are not permitted, both inside and outside the City Hall.

 

Apéritif and dinner
15:00 - 19:30

Gressholmen Kro

 

We will walk together from Rådhuset to Aker Brygge (5 minutes) at 14:00.

Ferry from Aker Brygge to Gressholmen: 14:25–14:42

​

Tickets for the ferry can be purchased via the Ruter app.
A regular Zone 1 bus ticket is valid on the ferry.
The ferry runs every half hour and takes 17 minutes.

​

When we arrive at Gressholmen, we will walk about 5 minutes to Gressholmen Kro. Please note that the path is a trail, which may make it difficult to walk in high heels.

​

There will be an aperitif on the outdoor terrace (the stage) at Gressholmen Kro from 15:00.
 

Dinner will be served indoors at Gressholmen Kro from 16:00.
(Note: Dinner starts at 16:00, one hour earlier than stated in the invitation.)
 

Sharing Menu

  • Shrimp with lemon and dill

  • Smoked trout with sour cream and horseradish

  • Warm beets with chèvre and pumpkin seeds

  • Manchego aged 12 months

  • Cambozola Serrano aged 14 months

  • Fennel salami

  • Sourdough bread with butter and aioli

  • Marinated olives and hummus

  • Green salad with seasonal vegetables

  • Baked hake with leek and radish

  • Pork neck with chili and coriander

  • Norwegian turnips and carrots with thyme and garlic

  • Cabbage with lemon and parsley

  • Baby potatoes with gremolata

Dessert: Chocolate confection cake with white and dark chocolate

After dinner (around 19:15), we will leave Gressholmen Kro
to catch the ferry back to Aker Brygge.
 

We will take the 19:32 ferry from Gressholmen,
arriving at Aker Brygge at 19:49.
 

From Aker Brygge to Smelteverket, everyone arranges their own transportation, with one of the following options:

TAXI: Taxi (10 minutes). For example, you can use the Taxifix app to book in advance. 
 

TRAM: Take tram 12 (towards Kjelsås) from Aker Brygge to Olaf Ryes plass (15 minutes), then walk 5 minutes to Smelteverket. The ticket used for the ferry will also be valid on the tram, provided you board before it expires.
 

WALK: Walk from Aker Brygge to Smelteverket (about 30 minutes).

Smelteverket is located in the basement of Mathallen Oslo
(Vulkan 5, 0182 Oslo).

We will end the day with a party at Smelteverket at Vulkan.

There will be a cake, music, and dancing!

The celebration starts at 8:30 PM.​

The bar closes at 3:00 AM, and the venue closes at 3:30 AM.

Drinks are purchased at your own expense at the bar.​

​

Extended family and friends are invited to the party. You are welcome to bring a guest or family members who did not attend the dinner. Please let us know if you would like to bring someone. Also, let us know if you would like to contribute a cake, give a speech, perform a musical number, or do something else fun—we would really appreciate it!

Ønskeliste

Questions & Answers

Can I bring a guest?

The names on the invitation indicate who is invited to the entire celebration, including the dinner at Gressholmen.
Other guests are welcome to meet is outside Oslo City Hall at around 13:15 to congratulate the newlyweds and join the wedding party in the evening. Please let us know if you would like to bring someone to the evening celebration.

 

Can I bring children?

Children listed on the invitation are welcome to join the entire celebration.
Other children or family members are welcome to attend the evening party, but please note that it will take place at a bar where alcohol is served and loud music will be played later in the evening.

 

What is the dress code?

Formal wear or traditional "bunad".

 

What will we eat?

There will be a sharing meny at the table. See full meny above. 

 

Can the restaurant accommodate allergies or dietary preferences?

Yes. Please let us know about any allergies, intolerances, or dietary preferences in the RSVP form.

 

Where should we stay?

It may be convenient to stay near Vulkan, Oslo City Hall, or Aker Brygge. For example Scandic Vulkan.

 

Do you have a gift registry?

The most important thing for us is that you want to celebrate the day with us!

When do I need to RSVP?

Please reply as soon as you can so we know how many guests to expect.
We kindly ask for responses by April 15, 2026.

 

What if I can’t attend after all?

Please send a message to the bride, if you on short notice are not able to attend.

Who should I contact if I want to give a speech during dinner?

We always appreciate speeches during dinner! Please let us know in the RSVP form or contact the bride directly if you’d like to say a few words.

 

Can I help with anything?

We’re very grateful to anyone who wants to contribute to the celebration.
It would be especially lovely if someone would like to bring a cake for the wedding party.
